I am a
child and adolescent psychiatry fellow at Yale School of Medicine. My interests include cultural psychiatry throughout the lifespan, medical humanities, and advocacy. Alongside clinical training, I am an
APA/APAF Leadership Fellow via the American Psychiatric Association and a
GAP Fellow through the Group for the Advancement of Psychiatry think tank. I seek to apply an interdisciplinary perspective to improving healthcare and writing for the public.
Some of my productive, past commitments included serving as Affiliated Faculty at UConn’s Asian and Asian American Studies Institute (now merged into the Department of Social and Critical Inquiry) and previous Chair of APA’s
Assembly Committee of Resident-Fellow Members. These experiences taught me much about effective collaboration and leadership, which I continue to pursue. I also now write for a column on Psychology Today,
Structural Motivations, through which I hope to encourage more nuanced perspectives on psychiatry.
